Feature

Galvo Lasers

Gantry type Lasers

Motion of the Laser Head

Use high speed motor driven mirrors to lead the laser beam onto the material

Use a set of mechanized belts to move the laser beam on the x and y axis

Working Area

Varies by laser wattage and F-theta scanning lens. For 2D galvo laser, the marking area is up to 11.8” x 11.8“(300mm x 300mm). For 3D galvo laser, the marking area is either 7.8” x 7.8” (200mm x 200mm) or 23.6” x 23.6” (600mm x 600mm).

This type of machine has a wider work area to accommodate larger materials or pieces. The working area can be 52” x 36”, 63” x 36”, 4’x8’ and 5’ x 10’.

Production Setting

Galvo systems can be placed into production stations to integrate with other processes.

Usually used individually due to the process needed to operate the machine (material loading, processing, and removal)
